How To Win The MarketingDoOver Online Video Contest
There’s a lot at stake here.
Winning the trip to Dallas, Texas and the complete marketing makeover will truly change your life and business. (Grand prize includes airfare, hotel, and food. See contest rules for additional information.)
In fact, we’re giving away three grand prizes, as well as many other great prizes as the MarketingDoOver online video contest moves forward.
So how can YOU win?
Well, we’re going to be downright brutally honest with you here. There have been a few submissions which are nothing but video advertisements for the contestant’s website. Although some of the videos are impressive, those people will not get the big votes from voters and fellow contestants.
Remember, this is not a video contest for the best commercial. This is a contest where you need to really sell us, the voters, and other contestants on why YOU should be selected to win one of the three grand prizes.
You can be as creative as you want with your video, but you really need to make sure it answers the question, “Why should I be chosen as one of the MarketingDoOver grand prize winners?”
If you are a current contestant and you simply uploaded a video advertising your website, you may want to reconsider your entry. (Just a friendly tip.)
Here’s some ideas…
- What would a complete marketing makeover with several marketers who have all done millions of dollars in business online do for you?
- How would winning change your life?
- How would winning change your family’s life?
- What are you passionate about? For example, do you donate your money or time to any special causes How would winning help you?
- Why should you be one of the three grand prize winners?
Get out of your comfort zone: They payoff could be HUGE
We’ve received a couple of emails from people asking us if they can submit a written entry because they are not comfortable in front of the camera.
Although we’d love to receive submissions by any means: written on a napkin, written in the sky, written on the sand on a beach, we do have to stick to the rules for an online video contest. Yeah, the keyword there is video. 
We know that recording a video of yourself isn’t easy, especially if you’ve never done anything like this before. However, stepping out of your comfort zone here will make it easier to market your website using videos in the future.
If you’re not using video to market your websites - you’re making a lot of your competitors very happy! So take the leap, record your video, and enter the MarketingDoOver contest. The two minutes you invest in recording your video could end up being the best investment of time you’ve ever made.

Hi Chris,
Please have them try again. If they do not receive the email within just a few minutes, have them check their spam/bulk folder in case the confirmation email went there. Thanks!

Having the same problem. A few people have said they got the confirmation email and confirmed, then tried several times to vote, but that they can’t log in.
Yikes!!
Also, I noticed your post mentioned “2″ grand prize winners. I kind of thought it was 3 : ) is that right?
Thanks! This is turning into a lot of fun - I never made a video in my life, but it was a lot easier than I expected. Of course, my family is now running and hiding every time I say, “Hey… watch this!” : )

Congratulations on making your first video! That’s great! And see, it really isn’t as hard as most people think it is. Just wait until you start doing more and begin to see more business coming in because of the videos you created. You’ll wonder why you haven’t been creating videos all along!
As far as the grand prize winners, yes there are three grand prize winners. My mistake and I’ve changed that in this post. Thanks for the heads up and I’ll shoot you an email now.
