In today’s lesson, I’m going to share another secret tip with you.  In fact, it’s so secret that we’re afraid that some may even consider this technique “cheating” a little because it can boost your overall MarketingDoOver score like crazy.

In fact, this is exactly what I would be doing if I could enter this contest.  While I was driving hundreds or thousands of votes to my video and boosting my score like crazy, no one would know how I did it.  I would no doubt have a VERY good chance of being a grand prize winner… and I would have never shared my secret with the world.

However, since I can’t enter… I decided to share my little secret with you.  This is what I’m calling…

The MarketingDoOver Contest Domination Method

This is a sure-fire way to get more people clicking on your video link and registering as voters and contestants.  (Which is something that we are tracking internally.)

Here’s what to do:

Step 1: Register as a MarketingDoOver contestant

Step 2: Read the instructions, record your video, upload it to YouTube, and then paste the code in the box we provide you.

Step 3: You’ll notice that you have your own special link that refers people back to MarketingDoOver.  When people click on your link, they are “tagged” to you.  Once they register as a contestant or a voter and login, they will see a link to your video on top of the page.  That’s always there because you’ve become their parent.  (Don’t worry, it’s just the name we call it.  You don’t have to feed them, let them in your house, or even buy them a birthday present.)

** SECRET ** Step 4: Log back into your YouTube account and go into the settings of the video that you uploaded.  You’ll notice that there is an area where you can write a little blurb about your video.  Go into your MarketingDoOver account, copy the special link you received after you uploaded your video and paste it in that box.

Make sure that you start the blurb with, http://www.marketingdoover.com/ (your link).  If you begin with the website link (including the http://) your link now becomes clickable!

** SECRET ** Step 5: After your link, write a little blurb using some great keywords that will help get your video found.  For example, you could say something like: “http://YourWebsiteHere MarketingDoOver video contest submission.  Click my link to join the free contest to win a business makeover. Great for those in: internet marketing, affiliate marketing, viral video producers, and more!”

You can say anything you want there, but be sure to fill that box with some great key words that’ll help your video get found in YouTube searches.  Also make sure that you add TAGS to your video.  Some sample tags are: viral video contest business makeover marketing internet marketing marketingdoover make money funny crazy, etc.  If your video is funny or crazy, add those words as tags.

Doing all of this will help your video get found in YouTube and drive traffic to your MarketingDoOver page.

But that’s not all, folks.

Because this contest is so huge and will really change someone’s life, I’d go the extra mile to make sure I was leading the pack with my overall MarketingDoOver score.  How?

I’d create more videos on YouTube and then paste my MarketingDoOver link in the text area to drive more traffic to my link.

I’d create funny videos, sad videos, crazy videos, informational videos, you name it.  I’d do a little research on YouTube and look for videos that have 10,000 or more views to get ideas of what I could do in my video.

Imagine uploading a video that receives over 100,000 views, even over 1,000,000 views in just a couple of days!  That does happen you know.  If you upload a video that becomes viral - there’s no stopping it.

Now take a step back here…

Yes, I just detailed a complete plan to dominate the MarketingDoOver Contest.  However, what if you also used this same strategy in your own business?  Your competitors will have no idea what hit them.
